June Event Recaps

1. Basketball Camp

We ended the month with an incredible basketball camp at Willard Elementary, and the energy was absolutely electric! We had 45+ kids join us and a fantastic team traveled all the way from Alabama to partner with us, making the week an unforgettable success for the kids. Through high-level coaching and mentorship, we saw amazing growth in both skills and community connection.

2. Baby Sheridan is Here!!!

We have some incredibly joyful news to share from our staff family! Our very own Isaac and Paige Watson have officially welcomed their beautiful newborn baby girl, Sheridan, into the world. Both mom and baby are doing wonderfully, and big smiles are all around as they settle into this sweet new season of parenthood.

3. Philly Family Fun Day

Philly Family Fun Day was an absolute blast and a beautiful testament to community collaboration! We were profoundly blessed by the massive turnout of local families and the joyful dedication of our volunteers. Most importantly, the event opened doors for powerful spiritual connections, with multiple people hearing the gospel through prayer tents hosted by our partners.

Check out the video below to see a full photo recap of the day's highlights!

Welcome to the Team,

Adam Spronk!

We are thrilled to officially welcome a familiar face, Adam Spronk, into his new role as our latest intern! Coming from Morrisville, PA, Adam is a proud recent graduate of Pennsbury High School. After being a faithful and frequent volunteer with us, he is stepping into our Converge Program and interning this summer. Over the coming months, he will be living and serving directly in Kensington alongside our partners at Productive Lives.

Adam’s heart for this community started two years ago during a week-long service trip. As he puts it:

"I came down on a week-long trip 2 years ago, and I fell in love with Productive Lives. I saw the need and desperation, and I wanted to be a light in the darkness."

This internship is designed to stretch Adam and equip him with tangible, real-world skills in leadership, urban missions, and deep spiritual growth. Adam's ministry is deeply rooted in Mark 10:45:

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

For Adam, this verse is a constant reminder to always maintain a servant's heart, because no one is "too good" to serve others.

How You Can Partner with Adam:

Please join us in covering Adam in prayer as he enters this exciting new chapter of life and ministry. If you would like to financially invest in his journey and help empower his ministry in Kensington, please consider giving below.

Podcast Spotlight: Michele Cramp's Story

1000002046

If you haven't tuned in yet, The Productive Lives Podcast recently featured a deeply moving, two-part conversation with Kensington street chaplain Michele Cramp.

Michele opens up with incredible vulnerability about her family’s roots and the unimaginable tragedy of losing her sons and former husband. It is a raw, powerful look at navigating sudden grief, clinging to faith in the darkest valleys, and learning how to choose hope every single day.

Whether you are walking through your own season of heartbreak or looking to understand the power of redemptive ministry on the streets of Kensington, Michele’s testimony will deeply impact your heart.

"He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand" — Psalm 40:2

Volunteer Spotlight: Ingage

This month, we want to shine a spotlight on our incredible partners at Ingage. Their team completely rolled up their sleeves to join us for our community food distribution, and they brought a high level of energy, joy, and humility to the day. It is one thing for a business to talk about community impact, but the team from Ingage is truly living it out by serving our neighbors.

Watching their team in action was a powerful example in servant leadership. From moving heavy boxes to sharing genuine conversations and smiles with the people who came through the line, we are grateful.

Want to get your workplace involved? If your business or organization would love to join us for a future community outreach day, reply to this email or hit the link below to get in touch!
