March Group Visits

March at the Hewitt Center wasn't just busy; it was transformative.

We opened our doors to three incredible groups—Salem Christian School, The Well, and OneLife—bringing a wave of energy and intentionality to the streets of Kensington.

These students and staff didn't just stay within our walls. They stepped into the "beautifully heartbreaking" reality of our neighborhood, proving that when we show up with the joy of the Lord, life begins to happen in the most unexpected places.

"The Lord is working through productive lives and all the ministries they team with! It was so encouraging seeing people being the hands and feet of Jesus!"— Caylen C.

"This has been such an amazing, eye opening, soul stirring experience! Getting to serve alongside Productive Lives has been such a joy and I am forever grateful for all the work they do. I will cherish this time forever and all of the ways I’ve seen God working in the lives of the people of Kensington!" — Audrey S.

"Cam, Paige & Isaac did a phenomenal job by making sure everything was planned accordingly & by making sure we always had everything we could possibly need." — Audrey E.

Speaking and Sharing with Students

Earlier this month, the Productive Lives group had the incredible privilege of visiting International Christian High School in Philadelphia.

It was a day defined by deep connection and cross-cultural fellowship as our team spent time with a student body that represents both the local heart of Philly and various nations around the world. The atmosphere provided a unique space for our group to talk to the students and witness the vibrant, Christ-centered community being built within the school's walls.

The highlight of the visit was a special assembly where Dr. Cam Garven shared a heartfelt message on the nature of suffering—a topic that resonated deeply with students navigating the complexities of modern life. Following the talk, the group had the chance to introduce the students to the Converge Gap Year program, a residential experience designed to help young adults find their footing and strengthen their faith before taking their next big step into college or a career.

Resilience and Redemption with Bob Beam

The Productive Lives Podcast hit a high note this month as Cam Garven sat down with our featured guest, Bob Beam. Known to many downtown, Bob shared the raw and inspiring story of his journey. From his early days overcoming significant personal hurdles to his long-standing commitment to serving his community. His life serves as a living testament to the idea that our past does not define our future, but rather prepares us for the unique calling God has for each of us.

During the episode, Bob opened up about the pivotal moments that shaped his character and how a foundation of faith allowed him to turn obstacles into opportunities for growth. It was a masterclass in what it means to live "productively"—not just in terms of tasks, but in terms of impact and legacy. If you missed any episodes you’ll want to catch the replay to hear Bob’s heart for mentorship and his advice for the next generation of leaders.
